thoughts on the Federal election Blocher is now the era come to an end?
Maybe. I am amazed at myself how much I dig up this colossal wrong decision of the United Federal Assembly in the position. The letter reminds me of something hard - and not just because I'm blog-come comparatively abundant in the final weeks of the exercise.
It'll take me so not bad, that I am not this time to deliver a text with unity of form and matter in the situation. To me very busy the upcoming (government) policy end of the fittest by far and most capable member of our government. In random order so my thoughts on that 12th December 2007 - in fact a "
which date will live in infamy " (though one of the Zweitziterte in the aftermath of the attack on Pearl Harbor Roosevelt Quote handed down this morning, probably wanted to use in the opposite manner).
Several questions I currently go through my head:
damn how good it has to go this country if it can afford our Parliament (with impunity) to elect a man of the caliber Blocher?
What the hell has he done wrong in those four years - except that he is simply Blocher? We hear from opponents over and over again the same empty words: his style was unacceptable (a wise man once said, talking about the style you only if one's arguments ...), went out xenophobic racist and he should be (I'm still waiting for those who could provide me even one quote Blocher, which would prove this ...), it violated the separation of powers (although - as in the GPK affair - even from a political left constitutional law professor, the opposite has been assigned), a collegiate, he violated (why can Blocher not know what Comrade Moritz at least the same degree also is doing and what that means exactly in general collegiality?), our core values, he violated (even on 10vor10 heard of Andy " GSoA "Gross) - abstract's the Limit! But what he has done wrong in concrete terms?
Hard facts that make the track record Blocher clearly see the other hand, many of: whom do we owe it that the EU accession of Switzerland has disappeared from the political agenda? Who's the only one in his department spending massively reduced and this without any noticeable performance issues? Federal Council which is even by his political opponents - if often behind closed doors - a huge dossier attesting knowledge? Who we owe it that the most indebted IV not for a year after all, the number of new retirees is increasing? Who initiated the long overdue reorganization of the federal prosecutor? Who was quite simply the most efficient Federal Council? Who else would really like to switch to EDI, the department with the greatest of all political challenges?
The personal experiences on today's election day: large majority of smiling faces, winning smile,
malicious comments en masse. At the moment the announcement of the election result this morning I am in the cafeteria full of the UniS before a giant screen: thunderous applause mixed with schadenfreude, a standing ovation. (If the Blocher haters already in the economic and jus-dominated UniS so striking prevail, how must it be in those seconds until the Uni Tobler back and forth to go ...?) I am a little perplexed. For they know not what they do ... In 30 years people will think differently about him because I'm sure.
Lustig also unplayed incredulous looks when assembled in one round, "admits" that one can not just look forward to Blocher's ballot. Apparently I belong to a "target group" which is so named from the "urban" people simply can not believe (want?) That they keep Blocher for a good politician ...
pleasantly surprised I was after all found on the positive words that Zgraggen
over in his blog for Blocher and which I can agree with almost all:
"For Blocher was not overthrown because he was not his performance brought has (what should be the normal case ...), but because he was too good, because he was uncomfortable because he criticized others because it called for more transparency and more efficiency, and above all because the problems he mentioned directly by name (in an executive really absolute top quality ...). It was at this Federal election is not about the performance of the various federal councils (which has, for example, Samuel Schmid Micheline Calmy-Rey, or the last 4 years so accomplished ...??), but only to the person Blocher: we wanted this uncomfortable get rid of critics, we wanted to be calm in the Bundesrat;. gladly therefore a harmless local politician from the Grisons " Who voted for him actually
? The Socialists and the Greens, clearly, that you knew a long time and that is their right. Above all,
the CVP, which may be called since no longer bourgeois, their support for women Widmer-Schlumpf never communicated and the latter prefer a Geneva communists left. Finally, the blocherophoben FDP-learning, which in full, would certainly include the usual suspects Christa Markwalder. What Liberals to?
"There were more than seven." - said earlier in a TV FDP parliamentarian from the canton of Uri. I suspect it would be a little more. All the more so as the UDC LER Hassler, Gadient and Haller probably not loaded for Blocher have. Furthermore, it should still give some CVP-learning the mind have not yet lost. Those so-called stem from the CVP landing ...
After all,
allegations must also respect to the SVP party leaders raise : Was it really necessary to ask the Parliament in such a harsh, ultimate, indeed almost blackmailing tone for re-election Blocher, rather than simply a warm welcome, a confirmation Office to ask? The opposition threat was necessary, yes, but they had to communicate so militant? If they can not simply place discreetly? And it was really necessary, the two uncomfortable Grisons - BR media attention shortly before the elections - from the most important commissions to stage a coup? Would all this have been prevented (and that would certainly not have been so difficult), have only 5 (!) Persons who gave at the end of the eruption between Blocher and Widmer-Schlumpf, probably voted differently ...
And how do we go from now? The last parliamentary elections were plebiscitary on the question of whether one is for or against Blocher. Whether this is good or bad, if that's the fault of the SVP or the debt is their enemy is another matter. All the SVP and a big part of that, the FDP have chosen - ergo at least 40% of the population - thus spoke of a Federal Blocher. They were now discredited and this should not be without politically consistent.
Although I have given up hope now plagues me the following question: what happens if Smurfette, which is currently lerInnen of SP and Green, lerInnen CVP, frets and lubricate mainly media oodles soaped leaves tomorrow kick out the election, contrary to expectations? What is SVP-activist then from the left (and that includes now also the CVP) selected? Or can the Seisler with the mustache (Schwaller) of sweet temptation of power, not resist, should they? Morning at about 09.00 clock, we hopefully know more ...
